My name is Bill Pritchard, I am an active TSP participant, since 1995. My information sharing regarding the TSP and stock market performance began in approx 2001, in the form of simple emails to a small group of coworkers, who sought guidance when the NASDAQ crash of 2000 devastated their balances. At that time, I was “known” around my office as a active stock market and mutual fund investor who had seen success with his personal stock account. As such, I provided some informal / “unofficial” guidance to these coworkers, and the word spread, and more people asked me to “add them to the email list.” Keeping track of emails and making sure everyone was included became problematic as the list grew bigger, and I sought a better method. Fast forward and in 2012, The Fed Trader website was launched, with its own domain name and site address. This site is done on my own time and own expense.
My interest in investing began at the age of 12 or 13, watching stock quotes on a green and black computer monitor sitting on my Apple-II that my dad bought me. Between watching the stock quotes, I would play Flight Simulator-1 (literally called “One”). These great program had a green stick figure cockpit and a constant clicking noise to simulate an airplane engine. In high school, the Economics classrooms had a “stock market competition” which I took #1 place, due to my selection of UAL stock as being a potential winner due to the pending resolution of labor strife. Everyone else were consulting their lawyer, CPA, stock broker dads and buying Coca Cola, McDonalds, and Exxon stock. I walked in and knocked it out of the park with UAL and took first place.
My current assignment at my agency is that of Pilot, supporting and facilitating things for the talented and hard working folks who are trying to do the right thing everyday. I hold ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate, with approximately 7000 hours flown. Due to my current assignment, I have been to Canada, to USA, to all of Mexico and Central America, Cuba, and to most all countries in South America except for Guyana and one or two others. I can speak, read, and write in Spanish. I have taken courses in furtherance of obtaining my MBA at the University of Texas at Tyler and continue to pursue this, as work and other obligations permit.

THE SYSTEM
The system utilized by at TheFedTrader.com is based on over twenty years of trading experience and uses a combination of technical and fundamental analysis to determine market direction.
Long story short, it is based on the premise that the “market knows all” and outside noise, pollution, news, opinion, etc only serve to cloud the waters. By direct observation of selling or buying in the indexes, and volume of shares traded, one can very accurately ascertain market direction.
“Trend Following” and “Momentum Investing” are commonly associated to this style. Both styles have fans and naysayers.
Some of most successful money managers in history (George Soros, Richard Driehaus, Steven A. Cohen) utilize variations of these styles.
